Here are the steps she used:

1. Come up with a sales message.
2. Sign up for Animoto. (Sign up for their 90 day trial if you only want to make one video, but for most of us the year long membership is probably the better deal.)
3. Go buy a few pictures from istockphoto. The small size pictures are fine, so plan to spend about $1 per picture. (Animoto does offer some free pictures for your use, but we wanted to find pictures that were exactly what we wanted.)
4. Put text and pictures in order using Animoto’s easy interface.
5. Let Animoto do the work of making your video look like it was created by a Pro.
6. Remix if you want to see other possibilities.
7. Use Animoto’s easy tool to post the video to YouTube, your blog, your website— wherever you need to impress people and get their attention.

Animoto is so easy, my 10 year old son used it to make a couple of funny videos.

Can you tell he has learned something about marketing already?

If you sign up for Animoto through my affiliate link, I’ll answer three questions about Animoto through email if you have any trouble with it. Frankly, I don’t think you will since it’s so easy to use.

The focus of the training is to teach you how to create videos that sell. In my opinion, the course keeps it’s promise.

The only real problem I had with the course is that the training uses Sony Vegas as the editing tool of choice. In and of itself that’s not really a problem. The problem is that I would have liked to see other tools (especially Camtasia) discussed in regards to making the videos.

However, that problem is outweighed by all the fantastic information revealed in the training, including:

• How to properly light and film your videos


• How to create your own blue screen and teleprompter

Going through the 4 week course at Web Video University, I learned quite a bit about creating video. Overall, I was very impressed with the depth of the lessons on making videos that sell. That doesn’t change the fact that I’d already put a lot of work into those two sites. When I took them down, a lot of what I did over the year they were posted went away. Or would have, if I didn’t find new ways to put my old stuff back to work.

When you’ve been working online for a while, you’ll have old stuff too. When that happens, it doesn’t mean that’s work you’ve wasted. You can reincarnate it into something new, and put it to use again.

So how do you do that?

• If you had a content site or blog that’s no longer up, recycle your articles. Make an ebook out of them, or turn them into free traffic-driving articles. You might even find you can rewrite them to be better than they were before.


• Did an old content site of yours have a lot of pictures? If you took them, consider some social bookmarking with a Flickr account. Share your pictures with the world, and send some of the traffic that drops by to take a look at them to other places.
• Turn some of your old pictures into a slideshow video. Some of my old painted miniatures pictures wound up on YouTube, and now I’m happy because I’m displaying them again. It could be that some of your old stuff could be driving traffic as a video to your newer stuff or current projects.
• Not using an old WordPress blog template you made from scratch? Package the template, and let someone else use it. Remember to put your link in it, and anyone who does use it links back to your site.
• Use content crossover for old and new stuff. Your articles might make good videos, or good MP3 audio files. Furthermore, you might make one of your YouTube videos a viral article with a resource box. If you go through the trouble to do that, you increase the reach of your work.

I reincarnated quite a bit of my old stuff, and you can too. You did the work, and if you can find a way, you shouldn’t waste it.

It also looks like a great place for us Internet marketers to post our own videos to help promote our products and services for free. Essentially it’s a YouTube for Internet marketers.

The first one I heard on Twitter from my friend Garry Conn and Internet marketing guru Joel Comm (almost at the same time). According to CNET Google is adding support for Adsense in video games. That is very cool news for game developers. While there are already ways of monetizing games with in-game advertising, Google Adsense entering this market is really good news for game developers.

Secondly, I heard from Michel Fortin that YouTube will soon be introducing the ability to add “Buy Now” links to videos. Video has become an excellent way to market products and services and YouTube is about to make it even better. This is great news for video marketing.

Video Wins BIGTIME!

I was surprised by the results. I expected the results to be a bit more even, because I personally prefer to learn via audio. I love to grab mp3s, put them on my ipod, and learn that way. It’s a real convenient way for me to learn, without being tied down to a computer or TV. However, most of you preferred video learning to any other type of online learning.

I am definitely going to start using video more in my business. I joined Web Video University to learn more about producing quality videos. It’s a four week course and so far it looks pretty cool. I will do a full review when I get through all the lessons. You can click here to check out Web Video University for yourself.

Besides video being such a big winner, I was also surprised that “doing it yourself” got so many votes. I learn by doing also, but I was surprised by how many people chose that over the other methods.

Anyway, the bottom line is that if you are doing any online training (especially in the Internet marketing niche) you should definitely provide online video training to your customers.
