Of course, I still didn’t have high expectations being the skeptic that I am. And having been an internet marketer for many years seeing all the new crap coming out all the time has made me even more cautious and pessimistic. But I tried to go in with as much of an open mind as I could.

The first thing I noticed is that their sales page isn’t full of hype and outrageous promises like you see far too often on most “how to make money online” type of products. It basically just gives you an overview of what’s inside and what’s not inside along with some videos, testimonials, and a bit of other information. They get another plus right off the bat for that.

But the sales page isn’t really what matters; it’s just a small part of the equation. It’s what’s inside that you pay for and ultimately the only thing that counts. So I dug in expecting to get through it all in an hour or two and be done. Ha! The joke was on me. This thing is packed.

BTF isn’t some ebook or report like you see so often with products in the make money online niche. Instead, this is a full blown membership site complete with videos, guides, interviews, recommended products, forums, bonuses, and so much more. I didn’t count up every minute but my rough estimate is that there has to be somewhere around 40 hours of video plus everything else.

Some of the lessons taught and resources include; market selection, product creation, website success, link building and SEO for high rankings, marketing, conversions, templates, etc… Heck they even give you their personal cell phone numbers so you can call them if you have questions. That is virtually unheard of. It really is loaded!

I’ve been an internet marketer making a great living from my online business since 2003, so at the time of writing this I have 8 years experience. Even still BTF taught me several things I didn’t know, gave me a few more twists on some things I did know, and refreshed me on some things I already knew. I definitely didn’t think it would have much of anything new that I didn’t already know, but I was wrong. It truly is real and useful information for making money online.

Here’s a quick list of the positives:

• It works – I know that the stuff they are teaching actually does work. That’s really all that matters and the #1 reason why I recommend it.

• Several hours of video – Everything is shown to you so it is much easier to understand and implement.

• Solid advice and training – Not a bunch of fluff and filler. It’s packed full of truly useful stuff.

• Easy to follow – You aren’t left more confused than when you started as tends to happen with other internet marketing products.

• Great value at a low price – They massively over-deliver.

• Up to date – They continually update as needed.

• Active forum – Lots of discussion going on in there about all sorts of different internet marketing and money making topics.

• Amazing support – You can contact them via email, Skype, forum, phone numbers, Facebook, and Twitter. What more could you ask for?

And a couple negative things I found:

• Design – I know this doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things but it’s not a pretty site by any means. I think it certainly could have been designed much better. That doesn’t take away any of the excellent content but it does make the membership seem less professional.

• It could use more ebooks to follow – The videos are great and you can watch them over and over again as needed, but sometimes I like to have ebooks to read and reference if needed. That would have been the icing on the cake.

One thing I want to make very clear about Bring the Fresh is that it is NOT a scam or rip-off or fraud in any sense of those words! It’s also not one of those stupid “get rich quick” schemes. I’ve seen a few bring the fresh scam reviews and I have no idea how or why they would say that because it definitely isn’t. I have many years of internet marketing experience so I have seen a lot of scams, ripoffs, schemes, misleading information, and everything else under the sun. This is one site that certainly doesn’t deserve the negative reviews, in my opinion. It is the real deal.

It’s rare for me to fully recommend a product but in this case I do. I see no reason why BTF should be avoided or not recommended. It is legitimate and if you follow the things they teach and take action on them, you will make money online. There’s not much else to say so that is the end of my honest bring the fresh review.

It should be interesting to you if you want to launch a membership site. It might be overkill for you, especially if you aren’t into video marketing (which you should be).

This is what we’ve discovered so far. No offense to Local Business Money Machine, which has been a complete blessing this past year and really helped us get off the ground and headed in the right direction, but this is a MUCH better program. Of course, it’s about three times as expensive, so that’s something you’ll need to take into consideration. But, especially if you’re a “newbie”, this program breaks everything down into very manageable chunks. And the videos are incredibly professional (what else would you expect from the guys at Traffic Geyser) and even entertaining.

In fact, this program is broken down so well, that I am going to try my hand at some of the technical parts of it. I’m going to create a landing page myself and see whether someone who’s technically capable but completely unpracticed can do this. I won’t get it done in time to tell you the results before the program closes, but the fact that I’m willing to even TRY is a testimony to this program. Keep in mind that when I graduated from high school, I asked that my parents give me a typewriter instead of a computer, and I usually tell people that “I eat breakfast and talk to people, and George does all the work.” Perhaps I’ll no longer be able to say that

What else have we discovered? We would have paid as much for the level of Traffic Geyser membership included as we paid for the entire Main Street Marketing program. So, even if you’re thinking about trying out Traffic Geyser, go this route instead. You’ll get not only the great video marketing training that Traffic Geyser includes but marketing materials for your new business; over 40 hours of video training by everyone from Mainstreet Marketing success stories (they really do tell you EXACTLY what they did to be successful, even role playing some of the client approach strategies they use) to Bill Glazer; planners; free report templates; fill in the blanks autoresponders… I really could go on and on.

Is this program for everyone? I would still say “no”. There are plenty of people who won’t implement the steps and won’t follow the program. If this is you (you know who you are), don’t buy this program. If you don’t like interacting with people, and you’re not willing to take on a partner who can handle the client interactions, this probably isn’t the program for you. I think, however, that it is appropriate for people with varying skill levels when it comes to internet marketing. You do need some degree of comfort with technology, in general. But if you’ve ever blogged at all or are comfortable with Facebook, then you should do fine.

Like Local Business Money machine, you’ll need some time to set aside for this. The Traffic Geyser trainings are pretty quick and easy. There are eight lessons in the Express Lane training. The longest lesson I’ve seen so far is about 15 minutes. Then there are assignments that go along with those, which I think will take a minimum of 30 minutes to a couple of hours. So, you’ll need around 15-20 hours, probably to get through those trainings. And then, of course, you’ll need to go through the Main Street Marketing steps. Plus, making the pages and acquiring your clients. In other words, don’t think you’re going to buy this and five minutes later start depositing checks in your bank account. But, really, if any of you HAVE discovered a system that works that way, you should contact George about writing for this blog because clearly you’ve found a way to make money grown on trees and a quick way to harvest it.

I do think that you should be able to get through enough training and start implementing the program and figure out whether it works within your 30 day trial. That is, of course, if you don’t wait until day 25 to get started. And that’s my recommendation to you. If you’re interested, buy the program. Work the program for the next 30 days (no excuses— just get busy). If you realize it’s not for you, there’s no way you’re going to do it, you haven’t even opened the files— for crying out loud, return the program! It’s risk free if you’ll just take that step if you aren’t using it.

So, in summary, are we abandoning Local Business Money Machine and switching to Main Street Marketing? No. We’ll do a hybrid of the two for our business model because we’re already making money with Local Business Money Machine. There is a lot of overlap in these two programs, as they both target Local Search marketing opportunities. However, there are some areas that are mentioned in less detail in Local Business Money Machine that we haven’t really pursued as much as we could have (including doing more direct marketing and, of course, video marketing). These are the areas where we’ll be using Main Street Marketing Machines. Do I think you can use Main Street Marketing Machines without Local Business Money Machine? Absolutely!! It’s a completely different model and will stand on it’s own with no problem.

So, take some time to think about it. Write down the pros and cons, where you want to be a year from now and whether your current path is going to get you there. Then, if you think this is a good match for you, buy it! I think you’ll be glad you did.

Update: I did join Stompernet, but decided to leave because I was disappointed with the functionality of the tools. It could still be good for beginners, but people with more advanced knowledge may not get a lot from the program.

We started with the program in June. As you know, George has been involved with internet marketing for quite some time. In spite of his grasp on the subject and the success of this blog, we’ve never found that one thing that works best for us as far as actually making money. So, after George was laid off, we came across Local Business Money Machine and thought it seemed like an excellent opportunity. And it has been. The program has opened twice now— once when we joined and again about 6 weeks later. Now, they’re opening their doors once again.

Let me start by saying we have made back every penny we’ve put into the program. We haven’t yet replaced George’s full time salary, but I think it’s realistic to expect that we’ll be able to do that by early next year, if not earlier. The program does talk about making a full time salary in three months, but I think that’s pretty aggressive.

First, it depends on what you consider full time. After 20 years of George working as a software programmer and with six children, our idea of a “full time” salary is most likely a bit higher than someone in their twenties. Second, I think it does depend somewhat on your existing business network. To get those first clients, it’s nice if you already have some inroads. The program provides lots of information on finding your first clients, but our experience has been that some of those take a bit longer. We’ve got some seeds we’ve been watering since July that we expect to finally bloom in the next couple of weeks. We started with practically no useful local business contacts, so we had to start from ground zero in that regard. Even under those circumstances, we’re in a good place for a three month old business.

As George wrote in his first post on this topic, we’re not sure about how effective this program would be for the absolute novice. I think there’s enough information there for a complete newbie, but I think it might take a bit longer to implement. However, the information provided is very clear and comprehensive. My college degree is in theater and, other than being married to George and listening to him talk, I don’t really have a technical background. The material in Local Business Money Machine has been very accessible to me. I’ve had no problems following the content and even communicating it to others.

There is a LOT of material in the program. You’d probably need about two weeks of consistent time set aside listening to the trainings to get started (a couple of hours a day, I’d say). And then you’ll need weekly time set aside to listen to the ongoing trainings, visit the forums, etc. But there’s no program out there that is going to give you a full time income just for purchasing it (run away from any that promise that). Local Business Money Machine will train YOU to be a money making machine, but it’s not going to do the work for you. It provides solid principles for getting started in a real business offering traffic services to local businesses. But it’s up to you to implement the training.

So, in summary, if the recent economy has you thinking about starting a new business full time or adding to your income by working part-time, and you enjoy this blog and learning about internet marketing, I think the Local Business Money Machine is a great blueprint for getting started in a business that is interesting, absolutely needed by local businesses and only going to grow in the future. The Net Effect Review

The Net Effect is an Internet marketing magazine put out by the folks at StomperNet. The articles in the magazine were loaded with good information for beginners and those new to making money online. In my opinion, the best feature of the magazine is at the end. At the end of every magazine there is an action plan for implementing what you learn in the magazine. The action plan sets “the Net Effect” apart from many of the other internet marketing magazines/newsletters that I have subscribed to and I expect many people to copy this model in the future.

Overall, I recommend The Net Effect for newbies looking for solid information on Internet marketing.

Just like The Net Effect, Stomping the Search Engines version 2 is a good product for beginners.
