This is a great strategy you have come up with to promote your new websites. Video and article marketing can do wonders if they can be made viral but depending on just one or two tools is something i would not advise.

There are plenty of ways to get traffic, and if social media works for you, use it.

The purpose of making a promotional action pack for yourself is that you have materials to help you launch before your site even goes live. It’s like a pre-fabricated ad campaign.

In the case of blogs, creating community and readership does work well. But there’s no reason creating viral articles, videos, and reports shouldn’t help you gain traffic to a blog.

Easy and simple – i like that.

As I am writing this, my blog is 14 days old (it’s a baby).

I’ve been using social media (twitter to be exact) to drive traffic and create community and readership.

I will try the article blasting and the viral report.

That is definitely a great strategy you have come up with to promote your new websites. The only things I would add to the mix is a little social bookmarking, submitting the site to a few directories and giving the new site some links from some of my existing related sites. However, your strategy uses some of the better methods to get BIG traffic to a site.
