I always suspected that the grass is not greener on the other side but unfortunately there's no other way to proove it except for going to the other side and checking the grass colour yourself.

On the serious note, I think there's nothing wrong with the learning. If someone's successful path worked for them, why wouldn't it work for us? And even if we don't succeed, we'll just take it as a casualty of learning and start again, this time with the different approach. It's all about confidence.

I think persistence and self belief is whats required, it does'nt matter how many failures or mistakes you make if you keep trying you will get there eventually.

Monika, as ever you have written a really insightful post and I agree about the importance of "stickability". The quickest ways to earning a living are usually fraught with problems and when you do acheive them your success is usually short lived. Building a solid business foundation and putting some hardwork into your website always pays off in the long term or between 18-24 months.

@ Bret: That's it, starting is really the key to moving on. great to hear you have taken that first step. It does become more manageable as time goes on too. Good luck with your business.

@ Jeanette: A mentor can be a fabulous help in staying on track. I found though that personally while I like having a mentor in MLM, it never made me accountable enough. If I wanted to find excuses not to do something, I sure as hell found them. Being accountable to myself is what really edged my business in the right direction.

Great advice. To add to that, I find having a mentor helpful because they help to keep my wandering eyes focused. There are so many things to see and the grass looks oh so green.....

Excellent insight and helpful words for those of us aspiring to success with our own online business. Getting starting is probably the most difficult part of the process of me but fortunately I have gotten over that first hurdle -- now I just have to finish.
