Branding is very important and definitely a great way to create a memorable online presence. It is also so true about how branding can work both ways – ‘guilty by association’ as it were. So make sure that your brand is recognizable for the good services / products you offer.

I agree that jingles are a solid way to brand, Jonathan. However, I’ve never seen them used in any example of online marketing I’ve seen. Video and audio marketing, yes, but not a jingle.

It couldn’t hurt to try, as you state, as I’ve bought pieces of simple software that could inexpensively put this on a site. It’s just that someone would be trailblazing when they tried to migrate a jingle to the Net.

Branding is key to having a good online presence. The points made in this post are excellent but I would add one more where possible – “a jingle”. A Jingle ( a short piece of music or a sound) is a powerful way to reinforce your brand. Take someone like MacDonalds, they have a logo, a catchy company name and the “Do, Do , Do, Do , Do…. I’m Lovin It” Whether you love it or hate it it’s catchy and it sticks in your mind and that’s the key! The great thing about online sites is that you can easy upload an MP3 music file with a short “Jingle” that plays everytime someone arrives at you main landing page. It is an advertisers dream combination. So why not have a go?

I never really paid much attention to branding but lately I have started to so I guess I better start using my company name more. Make it a little more in the foreground.

I have been trying to come up with a good tagline but my mind seems to go blank the more I think about it. I will work on that.
