VitVirtual,

You would have to check the forum rules. Some forums let you immediately use your blog or website in your signature line. Some don't. Some let you blatantly promote your blog (not a great practice), and some don't.

What I am suggesting is building relationships with the forum members and then it will be easier to promote your site to them and for them to promote your site to others.

Very interesting idea, but the question is if I register a new account in popular forums and public networks - it would be considered as spam if I start to speak about my blog from the beginning, isn't it?

This is truly a great post. I had never really thought about using word of mouth to get traffic to a site. This is one of those time I think "why didn't I think of that?"

If you think about it most big sites I know about, if not all of them. Someone told me about.

ebay, amazon, myspace, digg etc...

Plus think of all the offline businesses we use because someone told us about it. Like a certain store or resurants.

This is truly a great post. Thanks a lot.
