You can get more traffic with contests, but you have to promote the contest. Promoting a contest is generally easier than promoting a blog, because people are more likely to spread the word (especially if the prize is big).

If the contest isnt just random then yes you can, if it requires hard work and theres plenty of contests big money can be won

Holding a contest only works if you already have a nice amount of traffic. Just holding a contest does not generate mu “additional” traffic.

you’ve received a low amount because that type of contest isnt popular

your basically getting “free reviews” offering the chance to win money. Id rather stick to writing reviews where I get paid xx.xx amount of money.

If you contest was linking to your site with a certain keyword etc, I would enter, however I’m not planning on participating in this contest because of the type

I have been having a contest on my site for one month and only got about 10 Entries so far, it ends tomorrow enter if you want to win $100 and get a free link back aswell
