Is EVO A Good Way To Make Money Online?

Written by George Manty  · July 17, 2007

You may have seen several bloggers (myself included) advertising a site called EVO. It’s billed as a fun exciting new way to make money online. After looking at the free ebook, it actually looks pretty cool. Making money online by playing video games and participating in social networking sounds like a dream come true to me. (If only I could make a good living by playing my favorite game Civilization 4... now that would be truly awesome!) EVO is one of those “why I didn’t I think of that” sites.

EVO just officially launched today and, while I haven’t yet been through the entire site, it looks very promising so far. Are you going to be part of the EVO revolution?

I can certainly see why someone would build a business out of this trend, although I’m not thrilled with the MLM model. I’m involved in some two-tiers, but no MLMs.

I have a site where this might currently fit, so I’m still going to give it some thought.

I am involved in some two tier systems as well. I like the gaming/social networking aspect of this program. I haven’t really looked at the monetization model much. It does have an MLM model. I will have to look into it more, before making any serious time investment in it.

I am certainly interested in what others think about it. Thanks for the comment Ryan!

Not interested in the MLM model. I don’t think MLM works in this day and age of blogging and affiliate programs. MLM is really too difficult and too time consuming to really make considerable money online.

That is kind of what I have been thinking. I have never given MLM a try, because it’s so taboo amongst many. I may give this a try, because I like playing video games and I like social networking.

    Thanks for the feedback.

PS. They changed their name to uVme.

I checked out the site and it just seemed a little sketchy to me, I’m still kind of confused about what exactly it is these people do, they don’t seem to spell it right out the way I would like.

Lastly it seems to be a foreign currency fee on there, and I think I will be a lot safer keeping my money local.
