The Biggest Step Most People Miss

Why don’t more people chase their financial dreams?

You know they have them. Who wouldn’t want to beat the rat race? Does anyone really aspire to work for a company, retire, and hope it all goes well? Or if you ask, will they want a better life/house/car/whatever that more money could get them? I didn’t choose the rat race either.

So what’s the step they miss? They may have financial dreams, but they don’t act.

Everyone wants to make more money, but when most people get right down to it, they don’t want to do anything about it. A lot of them won’t even try to find a plan, much less work it. But if you’re reading this right now and are thinking of using the Internet to make money, here are some things that can cause you not to act.

• Procrastination: This used to be a big problem for me, and it’s still the best way I know to accomplish absolutely nothing. There always seems to be that endless stream of tomorrows to do something you should do today. There are also a lot of excuses as to why you should wait until tomorrow, and neither of them ever seem to run out. So get rid of the procrastination and the excuses, or your aspirations will stop before they start.
• Fear: If you’ve never considered working on the Internet before, it may be a bit intimidating. It could be as simple as ‘stepping out of your comfort zone’ (which sounds like a lame catch phrase to me, but it does describe it), or it could be ‘Oh man, information overload!’ or ‘Am I going to need a PhD in Web Design to start? Augh!’
  

  I’m not going to say ‘throw all caution to the wind’ because a little fear can give you good sense. However, a lot will paralyze you and bring your dreams to a halt. Learn before spending, show some skepticism if someone’s asking for a big chunk of your budget, and know your options first before acting. But you must still act, and this will require overcoming your fear.

• Despair: Yes, you can do it. Your circumstances aren’t so bad that you can’t. A lot of other people making money online started from humble beginnings. Some of them started broke and it still didn’t stop them. There are plenty of things you can do that don’t cost a thing (referred to lately as Bum Marketing) to build an income even on a shoestring budget. And yes, you are good enough to learn what you need to know. So don’t despair if you don’t have your own mint or a PhD in Computers, because you don’t need them to begin.

Do you want to go online and see if you can make your financial dreams a reality? Then you’ll have to go out and attempt it. Yes, there is some risk involved, and you might fail. But there is no chance of success at all unless you try.
