Top 3 Reasons You Should Stop Reading Blogs
Written by George Manty · July 6, 2007
Here are the top three reasons you should stop reading blogs:
1. Reading Blogs Is A Waste Of Time
Do you know how much REAL work you could be doing instead of reading blogs? My guess is that if you were to cut your blog reading down from 12 hours a day to 4 hours a day you would get a lot more accomplished.
2. Reading Blogs Is Addictive
Once you start reading blogs you can’t stop. It’s like a drug, only worse, because you don’t have good slogans like “just say no to blogs” to make you think twice about doing it. Hmmm… I wonder if justsaynotoblogs.com is taken?
3. There Are Too Many Blogs To Read
Do you know how many blogs there are to read? Technorati claims there are around 100,000 new blogs created every day! There is just too many of them. Since they waste your time anyway and reading them is addictive, you should just say no to blogs and spend some quality time with your family, get more work done, get in touch with that old friend, or just go get some sleep …
But first be sure to add MY blog to your feed reader by clicking here... You know you want to

#2 i definitely right. But I don’t think its a bad thing to read blogs. A lot of blog are extremely informative. Are you telling people not to read yours? :-P.

Mirko,
It was written tounge in cheek, hence the
my name is ….. and I am an addict. There I said it. I am addicted to reading others blogs. You have some really good points, if only I would listen to this one, then maybe I would get more work done.
Gaje Master,
Sorry to here you are addicted as well…
George, point number one is so true because I find myself reading blog while I should be doing some works right now. Nice entry!
i agree with the points 2 and 3 but i have diff opinion for the first one …it depends upon what are you reading …if you are reading crap than its surely a waste of time …whatddya say.,,
shashank,
I guess with number 1, it also depends on how good the post is. However, the truth of the matter is that you can read too many blogs and then never get any work done. If accomplishing your goals doesn’t matter to you then reading blogs all day long is ok.
You are right man , there are too many blogs to read , it can get addictive too and can also become a waste of time if you dont read good content .
Great post. Right there is plenty of blogs created everyday but some of them are contains very nice info which help us out. If you are reading a foolish blogs then its surely waste of time.
