Obviously, it also depends on the subject matter, if I'm really interested in it then I may want to learn as much as possible from as many posts as possible. Depends on your point of view I guess. Writing a great post and having the right people link to it can bring you a lot of exposure and recognition. Commenting often at as many blog as possible is the easiest and fastest way to network. I have always just used bloglines, and My Yahoo to follow feeds myself. So I just figured other people did the same kind of thing.
