That's not really the norm on the net. Also, meeting normal people is a good thing-- I mean, compared to the alternative... like if you were a space alien! Well Jason, even if you are a normal guy, I am fairly sure you have a ton of good business advice that you could give me. One big thing I have learned from watching Weblogs Inc. grow is that you have always treated it like a business. That’s not really the norm on the net.

Also, meeting normal people is a good thing— I mean, compared to the alternative… like if you were a space alien!

I have always thought it makes sense from an advertising perspective, but certainly the old Terms of Service of some Search Engines seemed to imply that interlinking sites even to promote them could be considered link spam by the SEs. I have never thought that it should be, but at the time I came across Weblogs Inc. many webmasters had doubts about the whole interlinking your sites even for the obvious purpose of promoting them. I am glad they were wrong. Splogs are certainly another story. I agree with your opinion on interlinking. It's totally acceptable for NBC to tell you what's on Bravo or the SciFi channel, and it's fine for blog networks to have their own blogrolls.
