Is Google Adsense All You Need?

I have been fairly busy with my wife’s business this week. I wanted to talk real quickly about Google® Adsense® as a revenue stream. I do not believe you should rely on Google® Adsense® as a sole source of revenue. It can complement your business, but should not be your only source of income. I strongly believe that you should have as many revenue streams as you can reasonably manage.

I also wanted to say that so far in my business I have made more money from affiliate programs than Adsense. I personally have made the most money from being an eBay affiliate.

On the other hand, my wife and her friend’s company have made about an equal amount from Google® Adsense® and product sales. They also make a decent amount of money from affiliates.

With their news site they plan on having a new stream of income…

They will sell advertising on their website, like so many sites do these days. It is an excellent way for a high traffic site to get extra income. For some Internet entrepreneurs, it pays the bills and then some.
